What to look for when choosing a photographer
I hope this helps you make the right choice because choosing a photographer that is right for you isn’t easy!!
There are more and more photographers popping up everywhere and it’s hard to choose which one is right for you… In the end it comes down to… do you like their style are they local enough and lastly are they affordable to you…. Cheapest isn’t always best!
Just because someone calls themselves a "Photographer" doesn't make them so … anyone with a digital camera can call themselves a photographer, and as digital cameras are now so accessible more and more people are starting up a business with little to no knowledge …. Don’t choose your photographer just because the price is low more often than not if the price is too good to be true it normally is … You might end up with poor quality images and products, Make sure you check out testimonials and look through previous work making sure there is a large range of images, not a few from just a couple of sessions as these can be staged and are not a true reflection of their work… Take time to look at website's, making sure there are contact details and a selective portfolio. Safety is another aspect of photography especially Newborn photography, I run along with two other fantastic female photographers mentoring workshops that teach other photographers how to pose and photograph these little bundles safety , A few of the images you might see in my gallery is achieved by Photoshop magic, not by balancing or hanging babies in the air everything is done extremely safety, so this is another thing to ask when choosing a photographer have they had any training and can they prove their safety with composite images of how it was achieved?
